ESTELLINE - Otis R. "Blackie" Lambert, 91, died Thursday, Oct. 15,
1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memphis Funeral Home Chapel with
the Rev. Bill Hill officiating. Burial will be in Estelline Cemetery.
Mr. Lambert was born in Fort Worth. He was an Army veteran of World
War II who served in the Rhineland in Central Europe and was awarded
two Bronze Stars. He was a Baptist.
He married Claudine Carroll in 1980 at Altus, Okla.
Survivors include his wife and a brother, Billy Lambert, of Lubbock.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
Ina M. Bryan
PERRYTON - Ina M. Bryan, 71, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Church of Christ with J.A.
Farber, her brother and minister of Church of Christ in Cyril,
officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bryan was born in Pernell and moved to Perryton in 1959 from
Pampa. For 20 years, she was employed as a nurse. She also worked at
the Fabric Mart for more than 10 years and for her son at his business
for the past 31/2 years.
She married Harvey D. Bryan in 1946 at Beckham County. He died in
1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Gillum of Chelsea; three sons,
Jerry Bryan, Jackie Bryan and Steven Bryan, all of Perryton; three
sisters, Geraldine Tyson of Sayre, Okla., Norma Jean McMahon of
Shamrock, and Patricia Pair of Eric, Okla.; two brothers, Hershel
Farber of Pampa and J.A. Farber of Cyril; 11 grandchildren; and 18
great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Ochiltree County Hospice, 3101
Garrett Dr., Perryton, TX 79070; or to Wheatheart Shrine Club, 2405 S.
Georgia, Perryton, TX.
Joe Wesley Brown
McLEAN - Joe Wesley Brown, 84, died Friday, Oct. 15, 1998.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Hillcrest Cemetery
with the Rev. James Martindale, pastor of First Baptist Church,
officiating. Arrangements are by Lamb Funeral Home of McLean.
Mr. Brown was born in Titus County. He retired in 1989 after 42 years
as a pumper in the oil fields. He then engaged in farming and ranching
in Wheeler and Gray counties until his death. He was a member of First
Baptist Church.
He married Beatrice Brown in 1939 at Sayre, Okla. They made their home
in the Kellerville, Pakan and McLean areas.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ada Durham of Groom; a son,
Dan Brown of San Diego; two granddaughters; and six
great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be today and until 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Lamb Funeral Home.

Sara Cisneros
Sara Cisneros, 61, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998.
Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic
Church with the Rev. Hector J. Madrigal of the church officiating.
Burial was in Llano East Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S.
Georgia.
Mrs. Cisneros was born in Durango, Mexico, and moved to Amarillo in
1985 from Claude. She moved from Guadalajara, Mexico, to Wildorado in
1965, where she lived for four years before moving to Claude. She was
a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She married Sabas Cisneros in 1957 in Guadalajara.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert Cisneros of Amarillo
and Jose Cisneros of Houston; three daughters, Anna Maria Haataja of
Lake Worth and Catalina Cisneros and Maria Luz Cisneros, both of
Amarillo; three brothers, Jose Isabell Escamilla Vasquez, Salvador
Escamilla Vasquez and Gabriel Escamilla Vasquez, all of Guadalajara;
four sisters, Dolores Escamilla Vasquez of Durango, Alicia Paredes and
Aurora Escamilla Vasquez, both of Chihuahua, Mexico and Maria de la
Luz Escamilla Vasquez of San Bernardino, Calif.; and four
grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S.
Jefferson St., Amarillo, Texas 79101.

Albert B. Coyle, 84, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with the
Rev. Jim Smith of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, officiating.
Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell Ave.
Mr. Coyle was born and raised in Amarillo. He was a veteran of the
Army and was employed as a truck driver. He was a member of St.
Stephen United Methodist Church.
He married Helen V. Gabel in 1953 at Amarillo. She died in 1995.
Survivors include a brother, W.R. Coyle of Center, and two
sisters-in-law.
The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and
Girlstown of Amarillo.

Helen Ingalls Sjolseth
CLOVIS, N.M. - Helen Ingalls Sjolseth, 73, died Wednesday, Oct. 14,
1998.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in St. James Episcopal Church with
the Rev. John Rollinson officiating. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sjolseth was born on a farm in Superior, Iowa. She worked as a
secretary until moving to Hills, Minn. In 1964, she divorced and
relocated to Clovis, where she worked for Citizens Bank as a
bookkeeper. In 1990, she retired after almost 30 years as assistant
vice president. She was active in the community, volunteering at
events such as the rodeo and Senior Citizens Home.
She was preceded in death by a son, Brad Lee Sjolseth.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharyn Sjolseth Allsburg of Beverly,
Mass., and Rochelle "Shelley" Sjolseth of Aptos, Calif.; a sister,
Ruth Barnard of Belen; a brother, Lee Ingalls of Reserve; and two
grandchildren.
Glendon Buckley
TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Glendon Buckley, 78, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today in St. Anne's Catholic
Church by the Rev. John C. Daniel of St. Anne's. Arrangements are by
Dunn Funeral Home.
Ms. Buckley was born in Glenns Falls, N.Y., and had been a resident of
Tucumcari since 1974. She was a member of the St. Anne's Catholic
Church, the Public Employee Retirement Association, the American
Chemical Society and the St. Anne's Music Department.
She was retired from the city of Tucumcari where she had developed the
wastewater department and was director. She held that position until
her retirement.
Survivors include a sister, Janet Buckley of South Glenns Falls, N.Y.;
and two longtime companions, Margaret M. Tuel and Phyllis Knothe, both
of Tucumcari.
The family requests memorials be to St. Anne's Catholic Church Music
Department in her memory.
The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home until
service time.

Gonzalo R. Fernandez
WOODWARD, Okla. - Gonzalo R. Fernandez, 65, a former Guymon resident,
died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Bunch-Roberts Chapel with Scott
Adams officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by
Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home.
Mr. Fernandez was born in Rocksprings. He married Maria DeJesus
Trevino in 1957 at Rocksprings. In July, they moved to Woodward. He
was a self-employed sheep shearer, retiring in 1991. He was a
Catholic.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Fredrico Fernandez of Guymon; two
daughters, Luisa Enriquez of Guymon and Marty Cullop of Woodward; two
brothers, Vidal Fernandez of Casper, Wyo., and Fidencio Fernandez of
Dalhart, Texas; four sisters, Paula Gonzales, Beatrice Gonzales,
Santos Real and Emma Fernandez, all of Booker, Texas; seven
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Emil H. Berg
GUYMON, Okla. - Emil H. Berg, 89, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Assembly of God Church with
the Rev. Billy Martin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst
Cemetery by Henson-Novak Directors of Guymon.
Mr. Berg was born in Beresford, S.D. The Berg family pioneered to
Texas County in 1913, homesteading near Goodwell. He retired in 1984
as a farmer and also was employed by the Henry C. Hitch Ranch for over
25 years. He was the member of the First Assembly of God Church.
He married Helen Mae Phifer in 1934 at Guymon.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Leota Marcetas Zimlich of
Bells, Texas; four sons, Kenneth Wayne Berg of Broomfield, Colo.,
Melvin Eugene Berg of Westminster, Colo., Leon Gilbert Berg of Guymon
and Gail Lynn Berg of Carrollton, Texas; two sisters, Grace Rock and
Clara Byers, both of Guymon; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren;
and five great-great-grandchildren.
George Thomas Burdge
HOOKER, Okla. - George Thomas Burdge, 88, died Thursday, Oct. 15,
1998.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Christian Church
with the Rev. Irvin Stanke officiating. Burial will be in Hooker
Cemetery with Eddy Scoggins officiating. Arrangements are by Roberts
Brothers Funeral Home of Hooker.
Mr. Burdge was born and raised in Hooker. He attended PAMC at Goodwell
and graduated from Wichita Business School. He was the Sunday school
superintendent of the Baptist church for many years.
He worked for the Burdge Implement Co., and later for the Hooker
Hardware. In 1947, he opened the George T. Burdge International
Harvester dealership. After the business closed in 1965, he continued
farming until his retirement.
Mr. Burdge was a member of the Lions Club, chamber of commerce, the
IOOF Lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason. He served as councilman and
mayor of Hooker. For 30 years, he was a volunteer fireman. He played
saxophone in the Hooker City Band and played the part of "End Man" in
the Hooker Minstrels.
His second wife was Elizabeth "Betty" Thompson of Hooker. His first
wife, Nellie Harper, died in 1962.
Survivors include his wife; his daughter, Sue Vestal of Santa Fe,
N.M.; two sons, Tom Burdge of Liberal, Kan., and Lloyd Burdge of Tipp
City, Ohio; a stepson, Conley Thompson of San Antonio; two
stepdaughters, Sandra Reed of Moore and Pattye Cleaton of
Bartlesville; a sister, Nellie Hammack of Hooker; six grandchildren;
11 stepgrandchildren; a great-grandson; and seven
stepgreatgrandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Hooker Cemetery Fund or a favorite
charity. Memorials will be accepted at the Roberts Brothers Funeral
Home, P.O. Box 745, Hooker, OK 73942.

CARY, N.C. - Maxwell Craig Corbin, 51, a former Amarillo resident,
died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the Chapel at Craig
Methodist Retirement Community in Amarillo, 5500 W. ninth Ave., with
the Rev. Dean Wynn, chaplain, officiating. Burial will be in Cary.
Mr. Corbin was born in Ponca City, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in
1948 with his family. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1965
and received graduate degrees from Texas Tech University at Lubbock
and the University of Texas at Austin in psychology, Spanish and
linguistics.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and taught Spanish on the high
school level before working on his doctorate degree in languages at
the University of Texas at Austin. He was associated with IBM at Cary
and traveled extensively around the world for IBM.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; his mother, Anne Corbin of
Amarillo; and a brother, Phil Corbin of Amarillo.

Donald W. Ator
PFLUGERVILLE - Donald W. "Don" Ator Sr., 68, died Sunday, Oct. 11,
1998.
Burial was Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan. Arrangements were
by Cook-Walden / Capital / Parks Funeral Home of Pflugerville.
Mr. Ator graduated from Texas Tech University and was a veteran of the
Air Force and Marines. After his discharge, he was employed by the
Texas State Department of Agriculture and U.S. Department of
Agriculture. From 1986 until his death, he was executive
vice-president of the Texas Seed Trade Association.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Patsy; his children, Donald
Ator Jr. of Baton Rouge, La., David Ator of Giddings, Diana Blalock of
Somerville, Karen Ator of Irving and Mahlon Ator of Pflugerville; two
sisters, Ruth Followill and Dorothy Bates; four brothers, Herbert
Ator, Joe Ator, Paul Ator and Roy Ator; four grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
